Pro-Ject Primary E Phono Turntable
The Primary E offers the kind of build quality usually associated with more expensive models. With an on-board switchable phono stage resulting in simple connection to almost any amp or active speaker, coupled with the Primary’s pre-set counterweight that makes set up a breeze, it’s an unbeatable option for a vinyl newcomer.
Manufacturers Details:
Our Plug & Play design with pre-adjusted tracking force and anti skating has saved us costs and is extremely efficient in handling for our customers - with no compromise in sound. The lightweight and low friction aluminium tonearm is optimised for the Ortofon OM series and will bring out its maximum potential. The Primary E Phono is equipped with a switchable phono or line output, so it can be run with a dedicated external phono preamp or the integrated phono preamp connected to a line input (for example AUX, CD, Tuner, Tape, etc.). With intelligent construction and without needless features we were able to keep the price attractive, whilst still keeping the Primary E Phono hand made in Europe.
Engineered With Care:
The perfect way to get started with vinyl
With well-crafted components and a simple, classic design, the Primary E Phono offers the kind of build quality usually associated with more expensive models to help even vinyl newcomers get the most out of their records. Even better, the Primary E Phono comes with an on-board switchable phono stage, as well as the counterweight and anti-skating weight pre-set, so plugging in your turntable and getting records playing has never been easier.
Set up and ready to go out of the box
Setting up a turntable can be a time-consuming process, but the Primary E Phono saves you the hassle of balancing your tonearm so that you can get straight into playing records. The counterweight and anti-skating weights are pre-set out of the box, making setup a simple plug-and-play affair.
Switchable phonostage on board
The Primary E Phono includes an on-board switchable moving magnet phono stage. This means that the turntable is ready-to-go out of the box, but also has the flexibility for the customer to upgrade their phono stage in the future. This could be a separate phonostage, or an in-built phono in their existing amplifier.
Ortofon cartridge
With a pre-fitted cartridge made by Ortofon, the leading name in turntable cartridges, the Primary E Phono has the warmth and precision to reveal new details in your favourite records, and the delicate touch to keep your records sounding great play after play.
Simple speed control
Play both 33rpm & 45rpm records with the simple manual speed control. Simply switch the drive belt onto the pulley suitable for your records.
Gabi's recommendation:
Spring a little bit of extra coin for the Acrylic Platter upgrade. It looks great & you will also get better bass response from your records. Because the Acrylic is a similar mass product to vinyl records, it couples really nicely. No need to put a felt matt on your platter either.
